Learning at Little Giants
Our STEM and Montessori early years curriculum
Our curriculum blends thoughtful teaching with the freedom to explore. Children investigate, make choices, solve problems, and build the knowledge and confidence they need for school and beyond.

Our approach
What children know, what fascinates them, what comes next
Our educators start with the child. They observe what each child can do, notice their interests, and plan experiences that deepen understanding without taking away the joy of discovery.
Learning is sequenced so that new ideas connect with familiar ones. A favourite story might lead to planting seeds, observing change, counting fruit, talking about healthy food, and creating art from natural materials.
- Communication and language woven through the whole day
- Physical development through active indoor and outdoor play
- Personal, social, and emotional learning through secure relationships
- Early literacy, mathematics, creativity, and understanding the world

The 4 C's
A simple framework for rich learning
Care gives children the security to try. Cognition builds the ability to think, reason, and connect ideas. Continuity helps children revisit learning and make progress. Curiosity keeps the whole process alive.
These four principles help our team plan a balanced day. There is time for child-led discovery, small-group teaching, movement, stories, creative expression, meals, rest, and conversation.

Assessment that serves the child
Individual next steps, not a one-size plan
Observation helps us understand progress and plan what will make the greatest difference next. We share that picture with families and invite the knowledge you have from home.
Our aim is not to rush children through milestones. It is to give each child the right balance of support, challenge, repetition, and encouragement so that learning becomes secure and meaningful.

Leaders sequence children's learning and build on what children already know.
Questions families ask
Useful answers before you visit
Every child and attendance plan is different. Bring the details that matter to you, and we will give you a clear answer.
Ask the nursery teamDoes the nursery follow the EYFS?
Yes. Our curriculum works within the Early Years Foundation Stage and brings its areas of learning to life through play, relationships, STEM, and Montessori-inspired practice.
Is learning adult-led or child-led?
It is a thoughtful blend. Children have long periods to explore their own interests, while educators introduce language, ideas, resources, and small-group experiences that move learning forward.
How will I know what my child is learning?
We share updates through our parent communication system and hold regular conversations about progress, interests, and individual next steps.
